Jeeps & Glaciers

It’s no coincidence that glaciers play such a large part in outdoor activities in Iceland. Not only are they a remarkable phenomenon, but because they cover about 12 percent of the country’s surface area, you’re going to run into them sooner or later. This might also explain why Icelanders are a bit obsessed with modifying their jeeps to eat up the road when it comes to this peculiar terrain. Most super jeeps ride on 38” to 44” tires, but some monster jeeps sport up to 55” tires. At that height, getting into the jeep becomes an outdoor activity in itself.
